Plain Banter . . . lies about science fiction, and everything else. When the writer becomes the center of his attention, he becomes a nudnik. And a nudnik who believes he's profound is even worse than just a plain nudnik. -- Isaac Bashevis Singer |

2005-05-10 7:48 PM Miss Smarty Pants My younger daughter, who will be graduated from middle school next month, was informed today that she will be one of the class valedictorians. (The school also selects a male valedictorian, but I think my daughter had him beat.) This is in a high-performing school with an 8th grade class of about 350 students.
I'd like to say she takes after her Dad, but she's smarter than that. She probably won't be writing science fiction when she's my age. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
