I missed the opportunity to hear a presentation by Andrew Tridgell.

I hear many of you clicking away because you don't know the significance of this.

"Tridge" is one of only a handfull of the international icons of the "open source" software movement (as opposed to "proprietary software" built by a company that may or may not care about your glithes....)

Anyway, he was arranged to give a presentation at the monthly meeting of the PC Users Group and I messed up the dates and missed it. Doh!

I've met Tridge several times, and even interviewed him for the community radio station network where I've volunteered for years. But, this would have been different.
