2005-05-10 11:34 AM My ANZAC Day project ANZAC Day (25 April) got me thinking.
So, I took a camera and went for a walk around my city of Canberra , took some photographs, and documented the fruits of the exercise. A little-appreciated aspect of Australia's leading cultural icon, the Australian War Memorial -- the most visited public museum in the country -- is the avenue in front of it. Please have a look at my photo documentary of ANZAC Parade and its military memorials that front the AWM. A few other places got caught up on in this enthusiasm: the HMAS Canberra (1927) memorial needed a picture, and the nearby Australian Merchant Navy Memorial was part of the same genre. _____ Peter Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
