2005-08-24 10:24 AM Is there a MECHANIC in the house? In my last entry, I asked, "Is there an ECONOMIST in the house?"

Here is a related matter. Those who have been following this blog for a while may recall that my previous go-to-work car, a Mitsubishi Sigma, died a slow-quick death at around Christmas last year when the engine's head gasket leaked in a somewhat peculiar way that I didn't notice early enough. Well, these things come back to haunt you. My eldest son's Mitsubishi Colt has developed a similar problem. This is only a week after he spent a considerable amount getting the water pump fixed! A friend of a friend, who is a professional mechanic and who confirmed the head gasket problem, has also diagnosed a "stuffed" carburetter. A poor university student just needs this! I feel ready to borrow a tension wrench and do the head gasket myself. (The Sigma was too far gone for that.) _____ Peter Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
