2008-11-28 12:08 AM Thankful A friend has also written a "Thankful", about her son and 'Thanksgiving'.
So am I -- thankful -- but for quite different reasons. My 21 year old son is in Argentina. He's currently travelling to/in/around the most southern parts -- Tierra del Fuego -- and we are still hearing some emails from him. In the youthful travells I and my wife made, our parents waited weeks for a card, letter, or cassette tape. Why should we be concerned, now that it's instantaneous? +++ My third son, aged 19, had a friend spill his troubles out the other night. A troubled young man, who just wants friendship. My son is a true friend, and showed it again the other night with an improptu "get well" night for this friend by asking over to our home some of their mutual friends. It made me proud, and thankful, that he would do that for his friend. _____ Peter Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
