2008-12-14 1:33 PM Handel's "Messiah" Last night I sang in Handel's "Messiah".
I've got to admit that, at the final rehearsal on the morning of the evening concert, I got tears in my eyes as I sang some of the pieces. Oh, and I finally realised why I really appreciate "The Trumpet Shall Sound" and "Worthy is the Lamb/Amen". Also, I had a great time singing the 'community' version of the "Hallelujah" chorus, with the audience singing along. We did this as the encore, after the whole performance. Here's a way to sing along for yourself. (www.hallelujah-chorus.com) _____ Peter Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
