2009-07-11 4:21 PM They call the wind... vent. I'm holidaying in New Caledonia (Fr: Nouvelle-Caledonie) and I'm doing a fair job of dredging up my schoolboy French.
And, the wind is blowing: above 30kph (8.5m/s; around 18mph). The pressure is about 1000hPa (a deep low). And, in French, wind is 'vent'. There's no telling whether the travelogue will continue. Please feel free to have a look at the pics here. Oh, and some complete strangers (well, relatively so, members of a local choir with which my wife and I are singing) drove 100km round trip to pick us up and get us to the hotels in Noumea. Very kind of them! _____ Peter Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
