2010-08-16 10:48 PM The Australian General Election of 2010: "news" vs "opinion" vs "poll" What has amazed me during the Australian General Election of 2010 is:
* this has becaome a "presidential" style election, when the manner and outcome of the election is anything but 'presidential', and they can vote according to their conscience!; * Australian electors seem to think that they can ONLY vote according to a party's "ticket" (when, actually, they have the ability to vote for any number of their chosen electoral candidates, according to the rules for their electoral district), and they can vote according to their conscience! ** In the Senate, they can vote right down the names, and they can vote according to their conscience! Did I mention: they can vote according to their conscience! The polls DO NOT reflect the eventual vote, because... people can vote according to their conscience! Hence, I ask Australians, on 21 August 2010, to vote... according to their conscience! _____ Peter Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
