Lots of years ago, I had a close encounter with a sandy tongue of water-ish land when my boat had a close encounter with turning over in the surf on a sand-island. The weather was not good, either.

I found myself and several colleagues in the water and having to be rescued.

It still gives me the shivers!

So, I 'get' what is happening to Atlantic City (good memories, there) and NYC (good memories of Governor's Island, Central Park, the World Trade Centre, and other places.) Even up-state NY.

Great memories of clear skies!
