For Bex (who asked), and anyone else who is still honoring me by checking in here, I apologize for the long silence. I'm struggling with how to write about (or around) the problems my family is going through. If it were only my problem, or my story to tell, it would be easier.

Just so you know, I'm okay, my mom is doing well, and the kids are fine. I'd be happy to answer any questions I can, if you have them.

There will be a day -- soon, I hope -- when I can go back to writing about the fluff and trivia that make up my days. I'm just not ready yet.
