OMG, it has been so damn cold!!! I don't think I ever remember this type of coldness. Layers of ice, with snow on top, then more ice, and then some more snow. The roads are a wreck, and it is just plain bitter cold. Caitlyn built a snowlady on top of the swimming pool that we never got around to draining. The snowlady is wearing a bikini top (no bottoms?) and has a frosty glass of snow in her stick arm. She built another one up at the church across the street...only that one is bent over, flashing the church a bare ass...another is with Cait's car, since she cannot drive it right now. That one has three big parts, that are spread out on top of and behind the car, looking as if she ran into the poor thing, and splattered it all over the area. This kid is demented, and I am pretty sure I know where she gets it. I have only one shopping day before Christmas. That would be tomorrow. YAY, I will be over simply because I am out of time. I am fine with that, even if we don't have a chance to celebrate until Saturday, the 26th. It is hard to get together, with three adult kids, each having their own significant other, and families to visit. My kids will each find a ticket to see "Marley and Me" as a big group, after our Christmas Dinner Saturday. We have each read the book, and look forward to laughing and crying at the movie. I have been working a lot. We got notice that we would not be handing out any overtime, even for the managers. I keep telling them that I am in danger, yet they are not cutting me, so I just keep working. The next manager tonight was 30 minutes late, so I had no choice but to stay. We did an $1,100 lunch hour today. With all of the snow and ice, and no school for a few days, the moms were tired of being cooped up and ventured out. Good grief doesn't anyone know how to make grilled cheese and tomato soup? Stay home and prepare your own comfort food! At least bring me some...lol |
