I had not been to a dentist in over a year....ugh...I know that is terrible, but I was really fed up with that office, and the dentist that I did like there started her own practice. I planned on seeing her last year, but with my mother's illness and death, and thing not working for over 3 months of the year (in total) I didn't have the time, nor the money.

Wait, that doesn't make sense, does it? I must have had plenty of time, since I wasn't working, but no, I was at moms, 250 miles from home for two months. The other month, I had been fired by "B", and could not afford my deductable...

Anyway, that dentist that I did like, had been a crew person for me at a store I worked at years ago. While she worked for us, she attended Dental Hygenist school. She then went on to pursue a career in dentistry, and I lost contact with her. A couple of years ago, my insurance had changed, and I needed to find an office that accepted the new policy. It so happened that she worked at one of those, and I chose her. She worked on my teeth a couple of times that year, and then she left to start her own practice. I finished that year at that same office, due to the insuarnce policy, but I really did not like the other dentist. I stopped going, thinking I would start with the new office at the begining of 2008. That was my hell year, and I never saw a dentist that whole year.

So this morning, I called her office, and left a message, stating my name, and that she had been the one to fix this broken tooth the last time, and low and behold, she called me back this afternoon. She said she was off today, but for me, she would meet me at her office, and she would fix it again. Be there in an hour...YAY!

After she fixed it, I tried to pay her, and she absolutly would not accept any payment. Said she enjoyed working with me all those years ago. She did not fill out any peperwork, or anything...I promised to set up an appointment, and get her to fix all of my teeth, on the record. She was very pleased with that, and we parted ways.

I love my dentist! She has a patient for life, regardless of my crappy insurance.
