With everything I did today, I forgot the important one! Kay and Al came to my house for dinner tonight. Mike and I spent the whole day getting it presentable for company, and it shows still tonight. Dinner was only a couple of Papa Murphy's pizzas, but hey, I was at the dentist for a while. Besides that is what Kay wanted, she nearly dared me to try making a decent dinner, knowing I usually spend a lot of energy in the kitchen anyway. So, we set up two tables, and had a four-person assembly line going. Al used the cutter, with a scoring blade in it, and made each page (200 in all) fold exactly in half. Kay then used a "bone" (folding tool) to make each page fold flat. My turn was putting both the red and the white page together, and aligning them into the 2-hole punch. Mike and I had made a little tray on it, to punch the holes precisely the same spot (1/2 a circle, not a full circle) on the fold of each booklet. Mike then used the double-heart punch, and put hearts on page one, and page three of each booklet. Kay will tie the pages together with black satin ribbon before the wedding, in her spare time, watching TV. I really wanted no part of that, I am not good making things so pretty. My fingers fumble around with that ribbon, and I could not think of an easier way of doing it. Kay and AL were extremely pleased, and wanted to pay me. I of course would not have any of that. I am justifying the new printer a new way today. There are 4 ink cartridges in it, Each one of the is approx $15, so that is $60 of ink, and the printer was $140. That means I got an $80 printer...hell yeah! (If I am wrong on the cost of ink, it could only be that it is more expensive, making this printer even cheaper.) |
