I did get to see the actual inauguration! Since my shift started at 11, and it happened at noon, in Washington DC, I got to see a lot of the hoopla this morning. It was all that is was made out to be. The crowds, the speech...everything. It brought tears to my eyes, more than once. Mike had dinner ready for me when I arrived home. Spaghetti, with sauce that I made last summer. It was yummy, and filling. Could have used a side dish, but like I always say, if I don't have to make it, it is my favorite! Caitlyn leaves tomorrow night, for her big vacation. She goes with a friend and her mom and dad. They fly from Seattle to Orlando, spend 3 nights at Disney World, then board a ship, and go to the Bahama's and such. I try not to look at the intinerary, because I am so damn jealous. Seriously, I hope she has the time of her life. I am glad she earned the money to buy herself this trip. I am not looking forward to Mickey (the 75 lb dog) coming into my room whining all night, each night, for the next week. I cannot wait for warm weather. Will it ever get here? If I check the calendar, I will see that it isn't scheduled anytime soon...damn...it is cold. |
