I really try to be upbeat while at work. Really, I do...lately I have two different regulars that make me cringe, just by seeing them walk in the door.

Guy #1 He must be fairly young, say late twenties, early thirties. He never smiles, always talks like we are the dumbest people on earth. I think he deliberatly tries to order items that will somehow get screwed up. Like multiple different special orders, on 3 of the same sandwiches. One of them this way, one that way, the last some other way. This is the same man that threw the sandwich across the counter at me that I talked about a few weeks ago. He brings me the one wrong sandwich yesterday, and yelled, very loudly, that is was wrong. He then proceeded to tell me that I know this happens to him a lot. I did not say one word to him, but I took his sandwich, and made him a new one myself. I gave it back to him, still without a word. Whatever...asshole. Go somewhere else to suck the life out of them. Until we humans are replaced with robots, we will continue to make mistakes, and sometimes we do it just to see you get upset. It gives us pleasure.

Guy #2 This is an old guy. Must be 75...he comes in 3 times every day. I seem to be the only one that really cannot stand him. Don't get me wrong, I generally like the old men regulars, and I have been found sitting with them BSing on breaks at previous stores. I sometimes go on Thursday mornings to BS with a group of them at a location I used to work, but this guy...He brings his own coffee cup, and gets free coffee all day. A couple weeks ago, he orders, and I pick up his order. This was back when I was so understaffed that it did take a long time for me to get to his order. For that, I apologize, and we have fixed that problem. When he only got one of the $1 sandwiched he thought he ordered, he went off on me, saying I need to get his order right. I make the font on the monitor as big as I can, so he can see it himself. There was only one that he paid for. (his total bill was $1.09, and he wanted 2 of the dollar sandwiches?) I charged him for the other one, and I waited for that one to roll through the kitchen list, not letting it jump to the front of the line. I didn't care if he had to wait for 20 minutes, I am paid by the hour. Well, he starts talking very loud to me, as I was working, saying how poorly I do my job. This just pisses me off moreso, and I let the drive-thru take his sandwich, and I wait for the next one. I tell him that he should understand that he can't get 2 dollar sandwiches for a dollar, and he should have realized than that something was wrong, why wait until the meal is prepared? He started yelling very loud then, saying I should not argue with the customers, and that they are ALWAYS right.

I am not Jesus...I will not forgive and forget any time soon, asshole.

and no, I would never do anything disgraceful to anyones food, never...that is not me. I would however, pick out the worst of the batch to put on someones sandwich, if I knew for sure that it was going to either of those men. I rarely lose sleep over a dispute with a guest. I just try to turn and walk away, and let the crew deal with these two. I know I cannot please them, whatever I do.
