Back in November, I was having some problems with one of the "salaried" managers. I started asking some of the others if they ran across the same situations with her. They each said that they did, and I was okay with that, at least it wasn't just me. Apparently, each of those I talked to, told that manager that I was asking about her. This brought it to the attention of the store manager. She had the three of us sit and talk it out, and I stated that it would not happen again. I would just live with it, and not say a word to the others, just let it slide. Now, we have a different store manager (the one that fired me last summer)so she knows nothing of that chat the three of us had. Three other managers are so fed up with that "salaried" manager, they wrote a letter to the owner, and had 15 or so of the crew also sign the letter. I was asked to read it and sign it also. I read it, but I didn't sign it, saying if asked, I would state my views. The letter states that said "salaried" and two "swings" are such good friends, they allienate all others. It is two pages, in a small font. I don't have a copy of it, nor do I want one. It all seems so stupid, but it is true. "S" does the scheduling, and I swear she puts the good crew on her shifts, and leaves me with the sloppy seconds. They made that run to Starbucks the other day, and came waltzing in with three drinks, leaving me hanging out like the step-child. We will see how this plays out pretty soon, as "B" did ask me a few questions about it today. She was a little sneaky, not saying anything about the letter, but remember my name is not on it, she may not know that I know about it. She asked about the three (I call them the triplets) and I said I do not like working with any two of them together. One at a time if fine, but all three is a terrible ordeal. I just want to leave. Not a happy environment at all, for anyone that is not in their circle. Oh, I thought I worked 1-9 today, and I got a call at 11:55 saying I was late for work. I was scheduled 11-7. I say "wow, and you wait nearly an hour before you call me?" (yes, it was 2 of the triplets there today). I said I would be there as soon as possible...deal with it. On a lighter note...Mike again has dinner ready. I love that man. |
