Mondays are getting to be rather hard. We have a manager from a different store working each Monday these days, but she really doesn't know our store, nor our crew. The schedule has me coming in at 10, then off the floor for an hour, working on paperwork stuff that needs to be done. The subsitute manager asked me to help her, get some breaks out, and one of the crew was scheduled off at 10. Of course I helped her, but now I will be scolded for not doing the papaerwork... Lily was in the office, doing her stuff, and B was floating around, doing God knows what. I took my meal break after getting all the crew breaks out, but yet I could be back before noon. It was a holiday, and no school today, and we were pretty darned busy. The scheduler didn't realize it was a holiday (huh, how does that happen? Do they not have a calendar? Doesn the computer they use not work properly?)And to top it all off, the supervisor heold a meeting at my store every Monday. There are managers in complete uniforms sitting on their butts in the lobby, while I run under 14% labor, and I myself do not get another break. I finally asked them for help today. Once those two came to help me, I sent one crew member home, since he was off, and he had to get to his second job, and then I sent another on a much needed break. Hell, I was going to use and abuse at that point, but still....no break for me. I was off three days last week, preparing for that wedding. I was going to place a coin order, so we would have some delivered over the weekend, but B said that she would do it. It was rather early for me to get it done, but she said she would do it...yeah, we have no coins. I can live with that...but when she kept telling me she needed some, and then finally asked me why we don't have any, I reminded her that she said she would do it last week...yeah, dumbass...either let me do my job, or give me a day off without reprocussions. Now that I have vented...I do feel better. well, until I got home. Mike was making spaghetti sauce. yummy...I asked him what was he having with the sauce. He said he hadn't crossed that bridge yet. ummmm...okay, I will see what we might have. YAY, I found frozen leftover Thansgiving turkey (I am not too proud to use this) So I added some to the sauce. I see now, he has cheese tortelini out...ummm, I already added the turkey...I got the pot of water on to boil, then sat down. No one got up to add the pasta to the pot. I told him it should be boiling by now. 5 minutes later, I got up and threw it in. I came out with my dish filled, and ate in front of them. I don't mind helping, but it seemed I had to just take over the whole damn thing. After the day I had at work, it wasn't fair. |
