I woke up to heavy snow fall, with great big flakes! YUCK! I just cannot get over how much snow we have had this winter, certainly our share for the next several years.

Made it to work just fine, it started to rain on the way, and all the snow was gone within an hour. Rain is MUCH better than snow!

The twin that I don't get along with was off as I clocked in. She of course left me with several breaks, and a safe full of dirty drawers. I made it a point to say hi to her today, but I didn't get much responce back. I cannot be nice to her, I just can't.

I had "B" working most of the day, well there, not so much working. I was frustrated with the espresso machine, and decided to clean it before lunch, rather than wait for the afternoon, when "B" heard me start telling the crew what I was up to, she butted in, saying she would be doing it right now, unless of course I really wanted too. I backed off and said, nope, that would be great if you did it. (yeah, do something productive is what I was thinking)It still didn't work well, so she called the repairman.

I was covering the front counter, while I had the kid on a break, or cleaning something, when a woman came in with her grandson. I got their order, and the little boy was excited to go play.

What really happened:

Grandma asked me, "Are your balls clean?"

I must have dropped my jaw, "HUH?"

"Are the balls in the ballpit clean?"

"ummm, I don't have balls...in a ball pit"

the little boy then said, "tubes"

Grandma says, "Are your tubes clean?"

"Yes, as clean as they can stay, we clean them regularly"

What I was thinking:

Grandma: "Are your balls clean?"

me: "Yes, and freshly shaven, too!"

Grandma: "The balls in the ballpit"

me: "We couldn't keep those nasty things clean, so we got rid of them YEARS ago"

little boy: "tubes"

Grandma: "Are your tubes clean?"

me: "ummm, Aunt Flo flushed 'em out real good just last week, they are good to go!"

I get home, and had forgotten that we were babysitting this evening. Seeing Aurelia in her mothers old high chair eating her dinner really brighted my night! We played a new game. Dumped her toys out onto the rug, and set her into the toy basket (with wheels), placed a pillow behind her, and pushed her back and forth. This even got grandpa up from the recliner. She laughed, and was having a fabulous time....just remember, what happens at Grandma's house...

Dinner was a family favorite, we like to call "SlumGulley"...sort of the stuff for spaghetti, but using macaroni noodles, and everything in one pot. I think it came from the Herigstad bunch, years ago.
