I think the games today lacked the luster from past opening days. No real big upsets, even if there were some tight games, up to the last 5 minutes or so. Those double-digits seeds just didn't have enough gas in the tank for the higher ones. I did fill out 5 brackets, at different websites. Out of the 16 games played today, I did this well: 1) -5 2) -4 3) -4 4) -2 5) -1 This means that I do not have a perfect bracket left. Let's do the math...16 games, x 5 brackets = 80 possible, and I scored an overall 64 out of 80...or a 15 out of 16 on the best sheet...whatever, I am having a good time. UW won, and so did Gonzaga, I am happy tonight. One Pac-10 team lost (Cal), and UCLA won (barely)...Hopefully they end up showing the rest of the country that we play pretty decent ball out here. I stayed at the condo until after Aurelia's morning nap, then made it back to my house with her in tow for the UW game. Her mother picked her up from here. She has a few "Stupid-BabyHuman-Tricks" now. 1) Be a bobble-head, and she shakes her head. 2) What sound does a lion make? "Arrrrrr" 3) Touchdown!--and raises both arms over her head (yes, this one was taught by me) 4) "Where's Aurelia?" on gramas cell phone--and she pushes the buttons until she finds herself, and giggles 5) "Where's grama?" --and she points her index finger at me. Caitlyn made tortilla soup again tonight. It was pretty good, for soup. I think I could have used a taco with it. |
