I never have enough "me" time...my two days off from work are Thursdays and Saturdays. This was my choice, so I could watch Aurelia on Thursdays, and have some quality husband time on Saturdays. Yeah...not one day just to veg out, or get some real errands done. The last 6 Fridays or so, I have been scheduled noon-8. That is the worst shift ever, but I don't complain, as I am off on the busiest day of the week. I do however complain quite a bit of how I am treated on Fridays, and I have wanted to just take every other Friday off. This morning, I did not have my alarm set, just get up when I feel like it. I slept for a long time, and it did feel great. I woke naturally at 9:45...YAY! AMAZING! I had wanted to go grocery shopping, and pay the PUD bill prior to work, but really, I would be lucky to make it to the PUD on my way to work at that point. I don't want to push myself too hard, ya know..

So I get a phone call at 10:30 this morning. The L-Twin says it is very slow, and labor is very high, would I be willing to take the day off? A lot of thoughts rushed through my head in a short amount of time. I am sure there was dead air space, and she said had to see if I was still on the line.

my thoughts:
1) YAY! I WIN THE LOTTERY!
2) Today is "B"s last vacation day, I miss working wihout her
3) My shift today goes extra long, to 9pm. why cut that at 10:30 in the morning?
4) Why cut a manager shift, when you could cut two crew shifts instead?
5) YAY! I WIN THE LOTTERY!

HELL YES! I took the day off, and lounged around, washed dishes, made a Costco run, ate lunch solo at Panda Express, stopped at three different thrift stores, paid the PUD bill, hit a grocery store, came home and made tacos with Brittanys help...now a bunch of them are playing an XBox game, of unkown to me title...

I am going to upload a bunch of photos to photobucket and see what I can play around with. It is still my "me" time...
