I had a decent day at work today. Just one upset guest, and it wasn't me that she was angry with. (YAY!) I got her calmed down, and asked her what I could do to make her happy, and she suggested I give her something, so I reached into my pocket and came out with a free sandwich card. It was filled out, saying it would expire on 12/31/09, so I gave it to her. She called back a couple of hours later, saying that she saw me glance at the back of it, and now she is upset because I had given her an expired card. WTF? I ask her to tell me what the card says, maybe I looked at it wrong. She repeated the date, 12/31/09. I say you have something like 8 months to use it, she insisted that it had expired already. I tell her that today is 4/13/09...omg, can I ever win one of these? I fully expected to be working with "B" today, but she is working overnight shifts with Ben this week, so I still have a few days of her vacation...sorta, at least we are not together for now. She did stop in this afternoon, and said hi to me, asked if I did the things she left for me (50% was done) I came home, and took off for a shopping run. Mike went with me, and by the time we were done, it was too late to make dinner, so we stopped at Ivars for fish and chips. I love the salmon chowder! I need to fill out my bracket for the bigger dance.
