Work was really good today...and it was a Friday! When was the last time I enjoyed myself at work on a Friday? Ummmmm, fovever ago, it seems. It was just last Friday, when I answered that question, "Why are you so happy?" with a "Because it is the last Friday that you guys get to treat me like shit"....yeah, I really am enjoying the new digs. I got off work a couple hours early, because it was pretty slow, and we had 3 managers. The schedule called for 8 people, and we had 12 actually scheduled. It was beautiful outside, and I was on Detlef, the BMW, so I took off at first chance. I took the long way home. It was a very nice, twisty ride. I pulled over once, and let cars go by, so I could be a bit more aggresive through the curves. I caught up to them soon enough. Ended up going past the house by 2 or 3 miles, and hitting one great road that goes alongside a creek in Shoreline. Fired up the Beemer getting onto the freeway, only to find I was cut-off by a car getting into the HOV lane. There were two troopers waiting for an idiot to do something stupid, but I guess that guy wasn't the one they wanted. It probaby saved me a speeding ticket anyway, so what the hell... Mike suggested we go out to eat, but I wanted to find out how Aurelia was first, so I called Alisha, and we all ended up at Red Robin together. That was cool, Grandpa got to see her rash, even if it was a bit faded from yesterday (YAY!) We are going helmet shopping tomorrow, at several shops, and making a day of it. Just riding around, and seeing what is out there. I want to make sure we get a good fit, and the best deal, or order online if no one will match. Two helmets and 1 pair of summer riding pants... |
