We are crossing things off our list, getting ready for our adventurous riding season. It was fantastic weather today, so we were to ride to various cycle shops, hoping for the best deal on new helmets. We really needed to find the style we like, and get a proper fit, even if we end up ordering online.

Our first stop was the Cycle Barn, as we have always been treated pretty well there. We are on first name basis with most of the employees, and that really helps. Donovan set us up with Sabrina, and she took care of all our needs. We ended up ordering helmets, in our size and color choices. Hopefully they wont take too long to get here, as Mike's dropped the other day, breaking a hinge. He is wearing an older one, that I just don't like too well. I also threw in summertime mesh pants that will provide some air. Last year, I nearly baked myself, wearing the only pants I had. I would unzip them, and let them fly to get some ventilation. It will be like my mesh jacket, which I have worn completely naked underneath. ahhhh, nothing like it. Our ride was pretty short, just going to lunch, then a few twisties, then a grocery run and home.

I have a stupid 3am shift in the morning, and I am on my way to bed. I know I will not get to sleep anytime soon, but I have to try. I am reading the 3rd Plum Series book, I think it is "Three to Get Deadly". I finished "Becuse I Said So" a few nights ago, and read two short Mothers Days books I got for Alisha in the meantime. Mike and I BBQed a couple New York Steaks tonight. I made Carmens Beans to go with them, and threw some chocolate chip cookies in the already warm oven for dessert.
