I got to work with Kay a bit today. That was nice. She opened, and I came in after her. She has everything done, or on schedule to be done. She tells me what to do, who need s break, and the things she needs to get done in the office. I finished the deposit, and her money skills are immaculate. At the other store, if I even was lucky enough to have the early person count any cash, they threw the money into the pot, in every which way. I know I may be a bit anal, but I like all their little heads going the same way. Kays are just that. It truly was nice to come in after her. Yes, this is the same Kay that was remarried in February. Her and I worked together years, and years ago. A kid I had worked with last year at this store, said something today, that I heard wrong, but it was funny none the less. He had changed the radio to my favorite station, and he was telling a 16 year old girl what the words to the song were. Somehow, "I will never be a loner" turned out to be, "I will never need a boner"....ummm, I told him to please not that be true for his lifetime. Not that I have ever had one, but I can't imagine men could live their lives without...just sayin'...not that I was willing to help him out... Came home, and threw dinner together, I baked Chicken Alfredo dish, and some garlic green beans, using Brittanys Mothers Day gift to me, the infused olive oil. It was all pretty damn good. It was nearly ready when Diva Dos started texting me. He said he was bored, and watching some McD's history crap show. I told him to read this silly journal instead. I had never allowed him to see it, while we were working together, but now...what the heck? He says he read a whole bunch of them, and laughed pretty hard at some. Said I never upset him with any of the stories I told that involved him...whew...Some of those kids, I could not really care if I pissed them off, but some...let's just say some are my family members now. Speaking of Diva Dos, I am now working with Dive One. He told me today that he was chatting with one of the crew, and that he got behind him, and pushed him out of the closet. That would be a Mexican Man, whom I have always had a gaydar for. I had asked his sister once, if he was gay, and she was so insulted at the prospect that she nearly hit me. I just backed away, feeling incredibally sorry for this guy. No wonder he has never admitted it to his family. I am so glad that so many of the homosexuals in my life have been able to live openly with it It is nothing to be ashamed of, it is just the way it is. I cannot imagine trying to hide something of that magnitude to anyone. Just live, and be happy in your own skin, if someone has a problem with it, it is THEIR problem. (Mark, I remember you, and always will...rest in peace, my little buddy...We had so much more fun after you came out than when you were hiding) |
