I have no idea what happened to last nights posting...Typed it all out, and 'poof'...I must have done my Mala Mongolita impression again...I am sometimes very good at that, even without really trying. I got a call while at work, from the Cycle Barn, saying our helmets just arrived, five minutes ago. YAY! 'cept I work until after they close...I sent a text to Mike, asking him to pick them up if possible. He then met me at work, and refitted my communication system to the new one. I got new summer pants, and a Pink Nolan N103 helmet. It is fabulous! Instead of the 'D' straps, it has a ratcheting locking system, that will take a while to get used to. It has the flip-up chin bar, which I really like, as it makes getting it on and off much easier. Paired with my pink jacket and gloves I will be highly visable. While on a break, I saw a girl heading into the store. I perked up thinking it was Christine, but then remembered she lives in the Tacoma area, and can't really be her. Then I see her mother, and I got pretty excited! I think I last saw her over a year ago. Our lives got pretty torn apart in the last 2 years. She lives with her parents again, and works nearby. I won't tell the monkey-suit regular customer of ours, that I have renamed pRick, that she is back in town. He may well hunt her down... We called for pizza last night. Mike had that new pasta bowl thing from Domino's. He said it was good but he wasn't able to eat the whole thing. By the time he asked me if I would like to try it, I was quite full, and couldn't fit it in. I wanted to save room for a piece of the cinnamon stix. Maybe I can post this succesfully, and maybe I can't... |
