Man, I was in just a good mood getting to work today. I LOVE the store I am at. I am returning from a great little vacation....What do I get hit with, prior to my scheduled start time? (Yeah, I started early to help out, but the caller didn't know that)..."This is Shari, your NEW store manager. You will be working _______ hours for me next week when your transfer to my store is complete"...WTF?..nice way of letting me know, and by the way, since when do we transfer hourly paid folks without first consulting them? I love the store I am at, I have only been here since May 4th. Please, oh please let me stay there...yeah, like anybody hears my plees...I will go to the new store, because the company I work for needs me there. I will work for this manager whom I worked with for three weeks, and didn't like too well. I hear she is "mean" these days. She has fired at least two managers in the last few months. I know she treated me like I knew absolutly NOTHING. This time, she is being warned that I will be there to be her right arm, and I have a great deal of knowledge to help her with daily tasks. She has no assistant that I know of, and will need to get along with me. I hope she treats me better these day. Time will tell. On the bright side, this store is closer to my house than I have worked for several years. My commute will be much easier, yet it won't be such a great ride on the motorcycle. By the time I gear up, it will be time to gear down again. I might find myself not wearing protective pants a lot, due to laziness. Man, that was one paragraph...sorry. Hard to read, but I doubt many of you make it to the end of my posts anyways. (Poor pitiful peggy) lol... When I was starting the Jeep to come home from work today, Alisha and Chris pulled into the spot next to me. I got out and went in and sat with them while they ate dinner (at half price) and I told them all that, and about my vacation. I think Chris would like to go on an overnight type ride, and just ride for the sheer fun of it. He says he wants a different motorcycle this year. Alisha just rolled her eyes... Mike made stir-fry chicken for dinner. |
