I arrived at the condo by 9:15 this morning, to find Aurelia in her mothers arms, having her first bottle of the day. Alisha said she had woke up at 6:30 yesterday morning, did not have a nap, and was sent to bed at 6:30 in the evening. She had slept 14 hours, and I expected her to be her usual bright cheery self today. I of course, have been worn out, and needing more sleep than I have been alotted... I took her with me to MC McD's to meet with Blanca, who had an Avon order of mine. I had forgotten about it, but she finally tracked me down, not knowing that I had been transferred yet again. I ran into the supervisor there, and since he and I go way back, maybe 20 years, he asked me how things were going at CP. Now, I am not a liar by any means, so I told him straight up that I felt as if this move was not working out, and I am frustrated. I told him things that I had written here (no he doesn't read this, thank goodness)and my lack of motivation. He says once again the same thing he always says..."the three of us will sit and talk it out"...sheeeeesh Ralie (my nickname for Aurelia, but I am not quite sure how to spell it) and I stopped at Larry's Smokehouse for lunch. I brought it back to the condo to eat, and we played for a while. I was ready to drop dead any mintue, so I layed her in the crib. She wasn't too keen on that idea, so I brought her back out, and fed her a warm bottle, then tried again. I informed her that I could deal with a bit of crying for a while...she was totally silent for the next 2.5 hours...I slept on the couch for over an hour, then got up and straighted the place out, only to have her destroy it all once more. Why do I try? She is always imitating these days. She can say bye, and hi, and dog, and several words. At one point, she passed some gas (farted pretty loud), and she says 'oooooh' and looked surprised. I asked her, "what was that?" and she then pursed her lips together, and gave me a raspberry. When I laughed out loud, she did it again (with her mouth), and I again laughed harder. She now understood that she was causing grandma to laugh, and she just kept doing it. I know I should not add fuel to this fire, but it was the funniest thing I had seen in a while. Just what we need...a grandma that likes fart jokes and such...I drew a number one in the suede on the couch, with my hand. She pointed to it, and I said "one". She then held her index finger out to me, and said 'one' (well is sounded like that to me) I called Mike to see if he had dinner plans, but he was riding his Goldwing home at the time, and said nope, he didn't. So I stopped at Papa Murphy's for a pizza. Not such a good healthy food day for me, but, you know... |
