I am missing my sister these days...

I have not heard from her in quite a while. I know, the phone works both ways, but she called my phone on Mikes birthday, and I was so excited to talk to her. She merely wanted to speak to him, and left me high and dry. Her birthday is coming up on Saturday, and I wish I could spend it with her. She is always too busy to do much on her own, but when I was in town, she swept all things away, and made time for me. I love her bunches, and wish we could spend more time together.

Well, I have two sisters, and I love them each equally, just that it is Cindys birthday this time. Me and Cindy go farther back together. We were only two years apart, and always shared the same bedroom, and even the same bed up until I was in the 5th grade. Don't really see that much these days. Rhonda came along a bit later and was more of an only child, but Cindy and I did attempt to teach her to crawl. Apparently that is something they learn on their own, but with such loving big sisters available...really, I am surprised that kid survived being the youngest. We were not the nicest of siblings back in the day. I remember taking her and her poopy diaper down the street to the neighbor lady when I was babysitting one day. It was just too much poo for the 13 year old me that day. I figured that lady already had 5 or 6 kids, she may not even notice that it wasn't one of hers...She of course did it for me, but she told mom, and I got in trouble anyway.

Back to Cindy...I do not think she has the word NO in her vocabulary when someone asks her for something. She literally drops everything to deal with others situations. I wish I was more like her. Her family rarely remembers her on Mother's Day, her wedding anniversary, her birthday, or even Christmas. She is just mom, always there, always doing, doing, doing. She is the troop leader for Girl Scouts, and I believe some sort of Den Mother for the Boy Scouts. Her girls have always been top sellers of cookies. She works extreme hours to put food in their mouths. I see a lot of our mother in her.

Cindy, Happy Birthday coming up! I miss you! I love you! Call me, text me, e-mail me...I work 2-10 on your birthday, so I will call you earlier than that.

Only two more shifts at the current store, as I traded one away...YAY! Came home late tonight, Mike made his meatballs for dinner, and wrote me a sweet note about them. I have not seen him since Sunday afternoon, can't wait until he comes home tomorrow! I brought boxes home this evening, for Caitlyn to start her packing! YAY, empty nest!

I am currently reading Harry Potter 6, The Half-Blood Prince, in anticipation of the movie next week. I traditionally go with my girls to the midnight premiere. So far, we have only talked about it, and do not yet have tickets. They usually just open another screen when they need too, so I am not too worried. we will probably go see it at the IMAX soon, too.
