Nothing cheers me up like my granddaughter. She simply says "hi" to me, and every person we come in eyesight of, and they all perk up.

I actually wasn't feeling well this morning. I had rubbed my eye, maybe it was a little too hard or something, but it started tearing up, and didn't stop for a long time. While I was on the I-5 on-ramp, I had to pull over until it subsided and continue on for a while. Within five miles, I had to do that again. I had wanted to stop at a grocery store, and pick up something for breakfast for me, but now I didn't have the time.

I ended up staying at the condo for a while, putting her down for a nap, and myself sleeping in Alisha's bed. My eye seemed fine after that. Her and I went on errands, a lot of in and outs. Her carseat is a lot more complicated than the ones we had for our kids. We stopped at Wendy's for lunch. That little piggywiggy ate an entire cheeseburger! She also had the mandarin oranges, and the entire container of milk. She was in a great mood, so we kept making stops. I got groceries, and had time for a thrift store. Bought her a little handbag, with Ariel on it. I think Caitlyn will be fighting her for that. Also found "Lean, Mean Thirteen" that I have not yet read.

Ooh yeah, I got a basil plant at Trader Joe's for $2.99. I will attempt to keep it alive near my tomato tree, and if it starts looking dreary, I will just make pesto....fast.

Speaking of basil, I bought a bunch of it loose, too. I made garlic basil chicken in my George Foreman cooker. Had rice and corn with it.

Back to work tomorrow...this shift, then one at TL on Saturday, then the final shift Sunday night at CP. I do not yet know my schedule for TL next week, but I will find out Saturday.
