I had a good day at work. I have yet to officially "meet" the new store manager, as she is gone away to the national convention right now. I have never worked with her beofre, but we know each other. I am sure we will get along fine, and work well together. Our labor was a bit high today, yet we were understaffed most of the day. I can't really explain it, but there was no one else to send home. We need to cross train crew, making them invaluable. We did a lot of that today, which will produce higher labor. I just realized that I have a lot to do. I work 2pm-10pm tomorrow, so I will have the morning to get things accomplished. I need to write things down, so I don't forget anything. The most important thing is getting that new tire on Detlef. Hopefully that goes well, as I don't have an appointment for it. I really need a haircut, too. Seems I just got one, but it grows so fast. I am trying to hold out on getting my nails done until next week, right before I leave on my "mini-vacation". Wish I could drop the BMW off, and walk to the hair place, but that never works for me. Then tomorrow night, I beleive is the midnight premeire of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. At least I don't have a lot of down time before the movie, but it also means I probably don't have a ride, and will need to transport myself...which means I will park far away, and have to walk alone at night. Be easier to ride with the kids and wait it out, like we have done so many times before. Oh well, it is movie 6, only 2 more after this! (they are making the final book, #7, into two movies) Best decision I ever made as a parent? Getting my girls the Harry Potter books. Our original set is already being fought over. No telling just how many times the first 3 books have been read. Mike and I had baked chicken tonight. nothing special... |
