Not So Tired Now

Wow, I was awake yesterday purely on my own account, instead of that awful overnight shift. I have only ever attended the midnight showing of a few films. One being The Rocky Horror Picture Show, back in the day. We went as often as we could, most times in costume. I was "Columbia", and can still sing the songs, and scream "EDDIE!!!!" I also go with Brittany and Caitlyn to see the premieres of all the Harry Potter films. I know the actors were very young, and unskilled at first, and not worth being up so late. I don't think they even did midnight showing the first night. When they did start, I tagged along. Now, it is tradition, and I enjoy the time with the girls and their friends. They all think I am half-way cool. (the friends, not my kids, duh)

I had warned my co-workers that I would be draggin' my butt today, and wanted lesser thinking tasks to accomplish. Amazingly enough, I was alert and ready to go. I wore a headseat and listened in on order taking. A guest ordered this, in a near whisper at first, then he yelled, "A DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER, WITH nothing BUT MUSTARD!" Now what I hear, is "Double Cheeseburger with Butt Mustard"...I started asking everyone if they know what "Butt Mustard" is, and what is it used for. I know Alisha has used "Butt Paste" on the babys butt, but mustard?
It got funnier as the day wore on, and I did get dreary sleepy tired...Butt Mustard would get me laughing again...

I do not babysit tomottow. Alisha has gone out of town with the "Young Lives" group that she leads. SInce she is the leader, and not one of the teen mothers, she was not able to bring her own baby with her. She is in California for 5 days, and Aurelia is with the other grandmother. No, I am not jealous at all....really , I am not. Sue is wonderful, I really like her. She is a school teacher, and has the summer off, and didn't have to rearrange her lfie to do this. I get to sleep in, and get my haircut, and my nails done! Teo nails broke at work yesterday, forcing me to hack the rest off with clippers (I just shortened them). I am thinking of riding to Mikes work, and take a ride with him...not sure if that will materialize so I have not shared that tidbit with him.

Dinner was pork steaks marinated in a whiskey sauce, and taters...out on the BBQ...(I rarely use the oven inside in this weather, can ya tell?)
