I spent the morning in my leisure wear...pajama bottoms and a t-shirt. Diva Dos started texting me, asking what I was up to today. I said I didn't have the baby today, which was rare for a Thursday, and I needed my nails done, haircut, and some other self-improvement errands. He was eager to join me, and there was nothing saying he couldn't, so I picked him up, and off we went. Had to eat lunch first, so that is always nice to lunch with a friend. Then off to the nail salon, where I let him pick my new color. It is a pinkish-purply shiny color, and I really like it. He watched 'em wax my arms, and wanted no part of that. We watched a very fine specimen of mankind doing some landscaping in a church parking lot, and hooted and hollared at the guy...blonde hair, tan, chiseled....pretty. Had a haircut at a little salon in Kirkland, where I nearly have my punch card filled for a free cut. He decided he needed one too, then was upset that it was too short...sorry! When we left there, it was rush hour traffic, so I took the back roads home, along a motorcycle route we use quite often. I didn't quite know what to do, or where to go, so we stopped at a "Lover's" store. We spent a lot of time in there, laughing, and wondering..perhaps wishing...Took a picture of me with a toy that was gargantuan, and no person could ever really use that thing, and promptly sent it to our mcpeeps. They are all laughing with us now, and I suppose doing some wondering. It was fun, good times. When I arrived home, Caitlyn was here, doing a bit of 'shopping', as Mike called it. We left soon to go out to dinner, and she kept texting me, asking if she could have this, or that, or the other...measuring cups, a little used crock pot, george foreman grill, popcorn pan...Sheeesh, I told Mike she must have a u-haul here, and we better get going, or there will be nothing left. I am thinking of taking inventory on things like toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent and the like to see if they turn up 'missing'...some independence when we still supply all that, huh? |
