I am trying to figure out just what to do with the dog while I am away. I asked Caitlyn about it this morning, and her reply was that she would take her to the apartment. This is not an apartment dog. We said we would talk more later.

Mike and I then set to loading the motorcycles for our trip. I know we don't really need them loaded yet, but this will be a work of art, and the more practice one has, the better off we will be. No finding out on the way out of town that such and such just does not fit. I was asked to come in two hours early, so I had to leave while he was still making adjustments. The part that scares me about this, is he is packing MY bike. He isn't as careful around all the chrome as I am, he seems to have the idea that my bike won't carry as much weight as his,and so on, and so on. he does have more space than mine, I do have to give him that. He suggested carabiners (sp?) to hold my new bag to my rack. I quickly voided that thought process, as they would not be tight enough, nor would I like the scrathes that came with it. We bought 5 new straps yesterday...FIVE. That means we have something like 20 or so.

Work was extremely slow at the start. I tell ya, this store has really been allowed to form a "ghetto" status. There is ALWAYS something broken. At best, we have two fryers for fries. One of them has been broken for a week, and the fix-it guy had to call in the professional, whom came to see it, then decided it needed a part, then they had to come at the butt crack of dawn to install it, as it would intail shutting off all gas flow. It is finally working today, YAY! but...the back booth computer systems...crashed, to the point of not being able to use them at all...nothing, all day. They say that is happened yesterday, and cannot be fixed before Monday at best. ugh...now I can cook enough fries, but with the hella slow DT system, I don't need them that fast.

At some point, Mike sent pictures of the packed bikes. They were such close-ups, that I really could not make out what the heck anything was. I could not even tell you if it was his, or mine. The inside of all bags, look pretty much the same. The pic of my bike all loaded, had his bike behind it, so it was just all black, and was confusing. I will just have to do it myself somewhere along the route.

My newest store manager had to vacate her home on the first. They are moving to Texas in the next few months. I asked where she is living now, and her answer was somewhat disheartening. She grabbed a potted plant from the backroom, and started for her car. HUH? You are living in your car during this time? That is crazy. Where are your (3)boys? They are at a grandparents home in Bremerton. (That is a distance, plus a ferry ride from here.) I then blurted out, would you like to use my home while I am gone next week? I really thought she was going to cry. This would be a godsend to her. I said she would have to water my tomato tree, and care for the dog. She was/is pretty excited. I have never had to have house-sitters, and it seems weird. I will now have to add 'clean the whole damn house, EACH AND EVERY ROOM, TOILET, SHOWER" at some point, BEFORE Friday? What was I thinking?

Came home, and Mike had tacos waiting. We have not used the stove top for cooking in a long while. It is extra HOT in the house.
