Happy Birthday President Obama!

I found that one of my oldest, and dearest friends shares the exact same day/date as the prez. Sent her a text wishing her a happy birthday, and told her about that. She was not aware of that information. I will see her in Spokane next week, as we are planning to be using her place for two nights rest, as we ride around that area.

Mike has been plotting the route with ernest. His "bible" is the "Destination Highway" book. He has used that, and drawn up all the "DH's" in the state on a wall size map, and lamenated it. It is taped to a board for now, and he has wipe-off marks all over it. He brought out a big wipe-off board next to it now, and has details plotted on that, too. I had to laugh at him when I came home, asking where the hell will we fit those on this trip? He is a truck driver by day, and maps and routes are his thing. I try not to get in the middle of them. I offer suggestions as to where I would like to go, but not which way we will get there. I just follow...lol

Work was okay today. I think I would rather run the show for my entire shift, or not at all however, but I am trying. The back booth computer is still not functioning, and it makes it very difficult to be very fast. We are suffering along with the guests, and we feel as if we are working with one arm tied behings our backs. The store was built 10-12 years ago, I think, when that area was suburban. The amount of homes around there have increased tenfold, yet the store has remained the same. There is talk of tearing it down, to start again, but I will not hold my breath. We once had a remodel project to the point of the new equipment was delivered. I saw the new freezer sitting on pallets, in pieces, and storage containers in the parking lot. The whole thing was cancelled, because at the last mintue, they found the overall price tag was nearly the same as an entire new building. it was very deflating for us. We need more room. We do nearly 3 times the sales that the place was built for. We have to get a delivery more often than most stores, as we just don't have enough room to store product.

I was released from there a bit early, as we were a bit slow, and completely staffed. Mike had slumgulley waiting for me.
