It has been weird to have children around this weekend. Albeit they were boys this time, which we are not used to at all, just to have them here, being brothers in front of us was different. Boys are just different animals. I think they delight in pushing each others buttons, in seeing just how much they can get away with before their mother explodes. Jonathon knows all the buttons, and he knows the timing involving both of his brothers. I saw him instigate several things, that Michael was blamed for. It is always the second kid involved that kids caught, and to watch it all unfold was....ummmm...interesting? I nearly felt sorry for Michael, as he was always the one that was blamed. I wondered if I did that with my girls. And Mark, the middle brother, he knew exactly how to look up at his mother, and just go in for a hug and cuddle, that she never even thought he might be antagonizing anyone. He is a cuddly boy, and uses that to his advantage.

I cut up two apples this morning, and sprinkled cinnamon on them, and placed them in front of the boys. WOW! Watch your fingers! They devoured them! Then mom asks me what was so special about those apples? Ummm...I cut them, the cinnamon keeps them from turning brown, and I offered them. She says she cannot get them to eat fresh fruit. Since this was the first time I had offered, I said I haven't been having any problems with that whatsoever. Mike then cut some plums from our tree and gave that to them. Those did not go over so well, even if they did each try them.

I then made waffles from scratch, with some Canadian bacon on the side. I offered Pure Maple syrup, regular cheap syrup and the blackberry syrup that Brittany hade made the other day. Those boys devoured everything under the sun. Sort of like a shark feeding fenzy. I then had to get to work, and left them all here with Mike.

Work went well, nothing too special to report, other than Christine came in for food, and I talked to her about her possible re-employment. That might be fun if that could ever happen. Oh, one of the teenagers came up to my face and asked me, "Do you like me?" I kind of laughed at her, and shrugged it off. She is annoying as all hell, and I don't really like her, but I never had any of them come out like that and ask before. That showed me some guts, and I sort of liked that. Maybe I should attempt to get along with her a bit.

Came home and Mike was alone and loving it. He had not even thought about dinner, but found his left-over meatballs in the fridge, so we had some pasta and spaghetti sauce with some garlic green beans. The boys had eaten most all of the leftover mac n cheese...sad for me, I like it fried the next day.
