First, I am LOVING having Diva Dos at my store. I told him I am not going to tell him what to think, he will need to figure things out for himself. I did tell him that the things he has heard may or may not be true, our store is smaller, and is somewhat like comparing apples to oranges. We have less sales, but less crew, less storage. Managing labor is harder, but getting from the drive thru window all the way to the shake machine on the other side, is like 5 steps, instead of a hike. After 4 shifts, he said he is really liking it now. He is making the crew move faster, it is nice to have a fresh opinion around. I think he will do very well here.

Out of the blue today, the guy I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, the one I said TZ had taken care of in my absence, came in. He said hi to me, and just headed behind the counter with his tool bag. I told him I was glad he likes to come by just to see me and all, but why was he there? He said he was on a service call, seeing about my vat. Ummmm, we didn't call you, but I am very glad to see you, as always. After he called his dispatcher, and found he was indeed at the wrong store, I invited him back next week, for "People Week", when we will be serving fajitas to our crew, behind the scenes all day. I told him if he wasn't so stunningly good looking, we would not enjoy his company near as much. Hell, why not just be honest? He just smiled, and said he would bring me chocolates next week, in exchange for the fajitas that are now high upon his priority list. Now, if I was just looking for a man...hehehe

I stayed up way too late last night, chatting with the boss her at my house. I know she had to wrok earlier than I, and then she said she could not fall asleep. She has been putting in 10-12 hour days, so I just sent her home today as soon as I could. She came back to my house, packed her bags for her weekend with her boys, and headed to her moms. That situation is less than ideal still, but it won't be much longer at this point. She sent a text asking me where she should go to rent a trombone for her oldest son to use for a month while he is still here. Heck, I said he could find one at my house, use it while here, then when they move to Texas they can decide to bring it with them,a nd pay me for it, or if it will be easier to just do it down there. Amazing what one can find in my home. I just got rid of two trumpets before school started this year. Anyone need a percussion kit? The carrying case has a broken zipper. It includes a snare drum with a practice pad ,and a set of bells (A marching zylaphone thing)

I got off work after 8pm, came home to leftovers pulled from the fridge, but nothing worth eating, so I made pesto from lastnights leftover basil, and turned it into fettacini with leftover garlic chicken. It was incredible! I should really cook more often. It is a lot easier when the boss is here to clean up. My kitchen has never looked better than it has the last few weeks.
