A rule at my house has always been, "If you do something stupid, you are not allowed to cry". This pertains to a lot of things, mostly when the kids get hurt. I will always seek medical attention, but you cannot cry. (well, okay, I am not that mean)..

So this morning, I was to ride the BMW to work. IT has been raining for a few days, and today had none in the forecast. I get all dressed, and get the bike warmed up, and then i backed it down the hill, into the "Bat Cave", and proceeded to blast out, like I do a lot of times. I did not realise the road was as slick as it was. bad choice. stupid choice. I will be cursing myself all winter, as I replace parts on it choice. (Actually, I will see how much this little episode with cost me, then find out what, if anything my insurance will cover)...I need: new windscreen and mounting brackets, right side saddle bag (the bigger touring bags are cheaper, and I want those), right side mirror. Learn to live with: engine guard with massive abrasions, muffler with abrasions, a tarnished (yet again) ego...

So, I won't be riding for a while. oh, I seem to be okay. The adreniline got me into the house, out of the protective gear, and an ice pack onto my knee, and out the door into the Jeep to work. That was when I sort of lost my composure a bit. The boss was here at home,a nd helped me to pick the bike up. SHe then saw me at work, crying when Caitlyn came in, and said to me..."You really are a girl!" It made me laugh...Don't get accused of that too often, but yes, it is true.

We called for pizza tonight, as I sure didnt want to stand any longer that I had already done. My back hurts a bit, and I cannot put full weight on my left leg. No, I did not see a doctor, whatever...it was stupid.

My poor, poor bike...I gave him a hug when I got home, I feel so badly for him.

Idiot
