2005-09-06 5:06 PM Tidying, and thinking of Food Tue Sep 6 - Band just got cancelled for tonight, so I have the entire evening free, in fact the entire week free.
I spent my evening picking up the mess I left behind last night after all the boxes we emptied. I felt a little guilty just pushing things around to make them neater, but Mel assures me that "tidying up" can sometimes be just as important as "cleaning" and not to feel guilty at all. She'll be gone Thursday-Monday and so I have plenty of time to organize the house again when she's gone. The big thing I worked on today, in a writing-kind-of-way, was to catalogue the foods I like. You can find them here (or follow the link across the top of this page that says "My Foods"). It all came up in conversation with a friend because we're planning to have dinner some time this week, and I realized I really had no idea what to make. I know that I can be picky about food sometimes, and so now I have one place where I can keep track of my ideas and trials-and-error so that I can get better at expanding what I'll cook and better at coordinating meals with friends. This is especially important since I have a vegetarian roommate, some guy friends who live to eat only meat, a bunch of friends that eat kosher, and several who are majorly allergic to a long list of ingredients. Oh, the coordination of it all! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
