2005-09-10 11:59 PM Spices and Angels Sat Sep 10 - Prepping for this tournament (celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the Barony of the Angels, or the SCA group in Los Angeles proper) was really all about shopping and then falling into bed. Unfortunately this event I wasn't packing nearly as light as going off to the Bardic competition last weekend, so my morning packing took a little longer than I was expecting. And then once I got there, it turns out they didn't need my dayshade after all. But I was glad I brought it just in case.
During the majority of the day I helped run one of the trivia contests, this one on the Spices of the Spice Road. It was marvelous fun, and actually Natalya was so thankful for all my work on the task that she gave me a little present at the end of the day (a gorgeous photo frame). I had an absolute blast also taking tons of photos for all the folks at the Gaming Inn (the Inn of the Crimson Spade). I got to meet even more friends and family, and had a fabulous afternoon with them all. And after we all cleaned up at the event, about eight of us went for dinner together. Once again, I think I've "found my home" with some of these friends. As soon as I have the photos loaded on a website, I'll post the link for you all. Sadly, this time I forgot to have anyone take any photos of me. I'll try to remember that occasionally. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
