Free money, free movie, or something like that

Sat Feb 11 - I stayed up way too late [as some of you can tell from the time stamp on my post last night] and slept in until 11:30 am this morning. My roomie had made breakfast (bless her!) and so I had some yummy whole grain and apple pancakes, real maple syrup, and coffee.

Now I'm ready to head up for Etain's 40th birthday party, and this evening's Estrella prep will start with laundry and hems on some silk flags. For now, a drive on the freeways with another fun fling of "Shuffle Songs." So far, I'm enjoying the choices it's given me! (I'm so easily impressed!)
* * * * *
The drive to the party only had a *little* bad traffic, and although I arrived about 30 minutes late, food was just being served so I was just in time. It was very wonderful spending time with everyone, and Etain asked me to take photos for her, which I was very Very glad to be able to do for her.

The traffic *home*, however, was horrible. Jeff and Adrienne picked out a 7:00 pm showing of Narnia for my roomie and I to see with them, and I just barely made it in time, with some fancy alternate freeway driving to get there just as the opening scenes were starting. But there were weird glitches in the film, and so when we spoke to a manager, we were given comps to come back to that theatre for any show we'd like. Obviously I'd like to see Narnia again to see if we really actually missed any scenes (and we have strong suspicions that we actually missed something). But I'm not certain it will still be playing when I get back from camping all next week, and I *know* I don't have time to see a movie again before I leave on Monday/Tuesday.

And tomorrow is going to be a difficult day, since I not only need to finish some sewing, shopping, cooking, and packing, but I also must go see Eleanor for a very special party mid-afternoon. It's a girls-day only sort of party, and one that happens only once in a lifetime, so I *must* be there. 'Nuf said.

And with that, and a hearty yawn, off to sleep.

Today's Blessing That I'm Thankful For: I found $10 in a pocket, then watched a $9.50 movie, then got a free movie ticket. Wow.

Weight Loss Record:
Sat 2/11 - 11.8 lbs lost total so far (-2.0 from yesterday) ... Okay, now I don't feel so bad about sitting at the same weight for several days earlier this week. And, yet another pair of pants got to come out of the closet today, that were put away for being too tight. I'm liking this! Adrienne says the pants even look too big on me, although I'm not certain I see that yet. But wow. Very cool.
