2006-06-16 12:44 AM MP3 of the Ballad of, well, me Natalya, the author of the lyrics of my ballad, wrote to the Bardic email list I'm on, and said:
"I just had one of the most amazing moments I've ever had in 31 years in the SCA. Lady Iuliana of Ravenna put "The Ballad of Eilidh Swann" to music. I am in tears because it is so hauntingly beautiful. With her permission (and of course Her Ladyship's) I hope to post the file because it's truly incredible. I am floored and honored to have a poem set to music. Eilidh, if you haven't heard it yet, get out the tissues first!" I've put the file on one of my websites. You can hear it here: http://www.catellen.com/eilidhswann/balladofeilidhswann.mp3 If you right-click on the link above, you should be able to download / save the file on your computer if you would like to keep a copy of the song. G'night my lovely friends. Need I mention that tonight's blessings include Natalya and Iuliana (Nancy and Lynn)? Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
