A "G-Rated Journal" That Even My Mother Can Read (because she does!)

Effervescence is a state of mind. It's about choosing to bring sunshine to the day.
Every person I meet matters.

If it's written down, I know it (If it's not written down, I don't know it)
If it's color-coded, I understand it (If it's not color-coded, I don't understand it)

Processing It All (with pics)

Mon Feb 5: Processing It All - How do I explain how all the comments lately have been making me feel? I'm simply stunned, and occasionally (even often) misty-eyed. First, one of our court musicians, Sasha Khan, is someone I respect greatly for his knowledge of true middle eastern music. I love his journal, because he always has a link to some amazing video of a musician, an instrumentalist, a resource, whatever. He wasn't at the event Saturday, but he tells me that he was greatly impressed with my ghazal for the Queen. I'm so honored that he liked it, because of my high respect for his skills!

And gosh. All of you. You've been commenting on my journal, emailing me privately, sending me chat messages, telling me in person your congratulations and warm wishes, and I'm simply stunned, honored, and a tiny bit embarassed. You all are amazing. Thank you.

Okay next, a little housekeeping: As I promised, here are the photos of Cormac's old tabard, the new tabard I made, and the reveal at Festival of the Rose.

I should have gotten photos at the War Practice on Sunday, but, ah well. Doesn't he look fabulous? And you should see the tabard belted with his rapier outfit, looks wonderful! I can't wait to see it with his heavy weapons armor, too.

Next, the Festival of the Rose photos.

I'm really proud of having finally completed my 12th Night outfit for myself. The last item was to finish the purple lining on the plunging neckline of the wool overdress. I love that the yellow and purple necklace from Northshield looks so good with the outfit, too.

Meala's silk Persian coat came out wonderfully, and there's a great photo of her in my album, balancing a sword on her head. I also turned the edges of her new hat for her, and braided back her haid so the whole outfit would look good. I'm really happy with how her hair and hat came out.

More Festival of the Rose photos from other people include: http://www.nettleleaf.net/SPFOTR from Lady Christina and http://www.pictavia.org/SCAevents/FotR_02_07/index.html from THLord Broichan.

Tonight is the Baronial council meeting, and I've got some errands to run around town before I can head up there. I hope you all enjoy the photos, and thank you AGAIN for all your well wishes. I'm just stunned, and thankful.

Today's Blessing That I'm Thankful For: Ceridwen, and for our growing friendship and work on the college chapter of the SCA next door.
