A "G-Rated Journal" That Even My Mother Can Read (because she does!)

Effervescence is a state of mind. It's about choosing to bring sunshine to the day.
Every person I meet matters.

If it's written down, I know it (If it's not written down, I don't know it)
If it's color-coded, I understand it (If it's not color-coded, I don't understand it)

Home Safely

Home Safely - Just a quick note. I have most of the "Estrella: Part Two" story written, but there are photos to finish and a few more details to add.

But many of you know I was gone from Sat 3/9 through Mon (late) 3/19 and I thought I'd check in quickly to tell you I'm home safely. The long trip was for Gulf Wars, http://www.gulfwars.org/ an event in Mississippi, and it was amazing. Saul and I drove all 4000 miles round-trip, and there were five of us from two households who camped together: Jeff, Adrienne, Eric, Saul, and myself. We were camping with the original di Cellini household that our household (White Star) descended from, and just a few campfires down from the Northshield fencing friends I've met over the past year at two Estrella events, WW last July, and Mateo's CD release party last October.

The drive was long and exhausting, but uneventful (yippee!). The weather included hot, humid, rain, wind, and cold... pretty much in that order. I got lots of hand-sewing done on the drive to and from the event, and had a lovely time at the event itself. I took tons of photos, and have some amazing stories to tell you... but I'm still unpacking and cleaning and I'm headed out the door in the next several minutes for our post-event debriefing get-together.

If I could, I'd go every year. We'll see what happens.

Today's Blessing That I'm Thankful For: I can only say that I'm overflowing with thankfulness for Saul. Dearheart, you're my best friend and I wouldn't have wanted to do that drive and enjoy an event like this with anyone else in the world. Someday, some husband of mine just might have to learn not to be jealous of the level of our friendship. You are the best.
