2008-09-03 2:13 PM The Calendar, The Clutter The Calendar, The Clutter - Remember my "I Live Like This" essay? It hasn't gotten much better yet, even though that was 5+ weeks ago. I noticed a major problem with getting caught up, as I was preparing for camping Highland over the Labor Day holiday. I feel like I haven't "really unpacked" since Estrella, in February.
Then I looked at my calendar for all of 2008:
In 48 weeks -
No wonder. I really HAVEN'T unpacked much this year. Just unload the car, stack everything in the living room or bedroom (or both), dump out the dirty clothing, do laundry, repack the bags, repack the car(s), and head out again. Occasionally my roomie and I throw a house party, just to have an excuse to clean-out the living room again. I think my spinning tools are still in the box from the demo at Noe College in April. My coffee bar has never been *really* put away (just cleaned) since the birthday camping in early May, SCA camping in late May, the Fiber Retreat in June, the feast in my barony in July, Pennsic in August, Privy Council and Highland in August. Oh, by the way, "Happy Flip the Calendar Day" just 3 days late. I'd switched my calendars at work before I'd gone camping for Labor Day weekend. I still need to flip all the calendars at home. * * * * * Today's Blessing That I'm Thankful For: My long-suffering roommate, who puts up with my clutter because she's agonizing over her own clutter Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
