A "G-Rated Journal" That Even My Mother Can Read (because she does!)

Effervescence is a state of mind. It's about choosing to bring sunshine to the day.
Every person I meet matters.

If it's written down, I know it (If it's not written down, I don't know it)
If it's color-coded, I understand it (If it's not color-coded, I don't understand it)

Weather, Videos, and Halloween Pictures

Weather Jealousy on Wed - I love living where I live, except I miss having seasons, any rain ever, shady clouds, wind, or the ability to wear sweaters. I don't mind having "one wardrobe" year round, but now is the time when all my midwest friends are posting pictures of the changing colors, the pretty sweaters they've been knitting, etc. But the thing that make me giggle and smile first thing Wednesday, and not a jealousy moment, was looking at the temperature widgets on my desktop:

Yes, the hometown where I grew up was having snow and rain. *hee hee* Ah, maybe I don't miss it too much. Hmm.

I *did* get out some of my "cool weather in CA" clothing recently. I bought two long-sleeve t-shirts at Target this week, because when it's 90+ every day outside, they over-crank the A/C too much at work, and I end up shivering at my desk. Also, my roomie gave me a kntted hat that she didn't like how it fit when she was done knitting, and I just *adore* the yarn. So it's living in my car, with the arm warmers, shawl, and scarves that I keep for when it's cool at night. I like that I'm finally able to wear one or two knitted items in the evenings. It has been over 90 in the town where I work, but it's usually 10-20 degrees cooler at my home, and it's 50-60 in the evenings, with breezes.

Weather Today - So just two days ago I was distressed at the excessive sunshine and heat. And this morning I went to my car and it had RAINED while I was getting ready for work!

Now the fun!

Picture Excessive Goodness - So this afternoon I had fun getting caught up with all the Halloween-theme photos in my backlog.

Just last week:

The party at our house in 2005, where (a) my roomie wore 4 outfits, (b) Jeff and Saul scared us by shaving their beards, and (c) Chocolate Batman made his premier appearance! ...among other great photos:

And in the spirit of Halloween, here's last year's Hogwarts party:
