Christine's New Chapter

We went out to the Getty this morning, to see the Houdon exhibit (the sculptor of the Enlightenment, if you will). Man could that guy sculpt!

I loved his Winter, and his Summer was fun as well; but my all time favorite was the bust of Moliere. OH MY GOD. Perfect romantic leading man material. A twinkle in his eye, a saucy moustache, a mouth - ah, his mouth! Flowing hair and a jaunty hat.

And was there a picture of this marvel? A postcard, a print I could pick up? Of course not. Could we take photos? Of COURSE not! My muse is Moliere, and he's sitting in a room at the Getty. Worse, he lives normally in France!

Hubby went online to look up replicas, and he found one - for $172. Ouch. But it was nice looking at the picture.

So, yeah. I've decided I'm a museum slut at heart. Gotta go back to the Getty and draw Moliere. And maybe Winter. (You know, that pretty young lady wrapped in a shawl, which covers all the naughty bits - but otherwise is naked.)

Am REALLY looking forward to the museums in Rome.

Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.
