Rome has been wonderful so far. It's only rained at night up until today, and been cloudy - perfect walking weather. And have we walked! We have to get out of our room, since it is very small. Smaller than geneva convention standards for prisioners, I swear - 6 feet by 12 Iàm guessing, and the six feet is in width. Our bed takes up almost the entire area. Anyway, who's bitching? We make a point of not being there. More on that at a later date.

On Monday, we just walked and walked. There are ruins everywhere. Tumbling down hills, rising up from a square. Excavations are going on in every part of the city, to find what the Popes have had buried. Fascinating stuff, really.

Tuesday, we had a tour guide and it was just the three of us on a walk. We hit up the Forum, spent at least an hour there - walked in the original Forum Senate building, where Cicero used to speak - I got chills. We saw St. Peter's in Chains, a church that has some 'miraculous' chains.

Oops, my time is running out. We're having a fabulous time and eating lots, but walking lots too. more later. And Dayle, I did have a limoncello! But prefer Averno.
