Christine's New Chapter

Listening to... Billy Joel

Well, it's taken me the better part of the ENTIRE freaking day, but I've got a hero, I've got a heroine, I've got their goals, their motivations, and their CONFLICTS (Jenn, take note! I've actually set out CONFLICT!). What's more, I got all that down on paper before I started the first chapter! My GOD was that difficult to do.

Once I finally ditched the other story and allowed my brain to think up new people, the world flooded in and there were too many choices. The ones I made may still not be quite right for the line I'm writing, but a quick change in occupation for the Hero will fix that - just decided that right now, so I'm glad I took a break.

Depending on how long (as in, how many words) I write it, this could either be perfect for the editor in NY OR the editor I'm meeting in April, who's based in Toronto (but works for the same pub house).
So that's kind of exciting, too!

On another note, my dad called today - Mom's back in the hospital, another urinary tract infection that sent her temperature soaring, completely short-circuiting her nervous system. He swears she's better now, that she'll be home tomorrow, so I'm sad but not overly worried. Yet.

It's been an up and down day.

Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.
