Listening to... Buffy - The Album

Saw Jenn this morning, after far too long it seems. Took a writing problem to the WotS group yesterday, and I finally decided to let this current book go, to tell the editor that requested it that I just couldn't finish it for personal reasons which, after all, is true.

So it's done, out of the way, and after a couple of hours of breathing and feeling really good about myself, I started work on the outline to the one I'm pitching in July. And I wrote a comprehensive outline in nine pages, so I'm pretty damned pleased with myself, especially since the work is different than I had originally concieved it to be - ah, the joys of just WRITING!

In other news, we got the word that Hubby's mom is going to be admitted into the long-term care side of the rehab hospital she's currently in. They don't think she's going to get any better, and her dementia has taken hold so that her short term memory seems to be completely shot. So that's sad - my second mommy is not well at all. She's really been the best mother in law in the world, and I've been so very lucky with her.

I just wish they lived closer to us. (The other way around is unthinkable, as they're in Phoenix and I just *can't* live in the heat. Just can't.) So I suppose a visit to her in the new facility will happen at some point this summer.

But I'm writing again, really writing. And damn, does it feel good!
