Today was the workshop with Tami Cowden. I've taken a version of it before, two years ago in Denver - but six hours of instruction is a lot different than one hour. And I'm, like, more of a writer now than I was two years ago...so I got so much more from it.

I've actually identified (correctly! Woo!) the archetypes my characters are, and how their conflicts will cause problems for the two of them. And learning, I mean REALLY learning, that the black moment is tied to their internal conflict is just worth it's weight in gold. I'm still early enough in the story that I can pull all that together.

I think I'll be using the Archetypes book as pre-bed reading this week - just to solidify some of these traits in my brain.

Which, by the way, is just humming with ideas. I'm taking a short break and then writing some tonight. Gotta. The brain WANTS it - and ya gotta give the brain what it wants, or it pouts. Or tells the fat cells to grow. Whatever you don't want to happen, basically, happens.
